As malls close across the country, their vacancies provide valuable opportunities for redevelopment. While some malls will be transformed into additional warehouse space to support the rise of e-commerce, others may be repurposed to better serve their community. Paradise Valley Mall in Phoenix will be redeveloped into a community center offering housing, office space, retail, restaurants, and even a grocery store.
